Hi Friends!
Rick is turning 60 next year!
Which feels wildly suspicious, because mentally we’re still about 34.
We just have better wine, stronger coffee, and a deep emotional connection to comfortable shoes, jeans and T-shirts.
So instead of throwing a normal birthday party like reasonable adults…
We booked a ship.
And pointed it at Europe.
Because obviously.
To make this all official, and add a touch of mystery, we created the Eurotrash Social Club.
Our goal: Living well. Laughing often. Temporarily abandoning responsible adult behavior.
Now we are seeking co-conspirators who want to joins us on this epic adventure, and become part of the Eurotrash Social Club!
✨ The loose, lovely, zero-stress master plan ✨
May 25, 2027
Fly to Rome, wander cobblestones, eat pasta until time loses meaning
May 27
Board the ship and sail away dramatically
May 27–June 6
Drift across the Mediterranean like happy, well-fed explorers
June 6–9
London pubs, strolling, and birthday toasts
Then home with stories and slightly tighter pants.
This is a come as you are, do what you want experience! There will be some loosely coordinated fun — group dinners, wandering ancient streets, tapas and wine hunts, sightseeing, shows, and general shenanigans — but nothing is mandatory and nobody’s carrying a clipboard. Zero stress. Do what you want, when you want. Nap? Excellent. Spa day? Go for it. Hide in the observation lounge with a book? Legendary. Yup. You do you.
Our floating home is the beautiful Norwegian Prima, which is less “boat” and more “floating boutique hotel.”

Think:
- infinity pools — basically horizontal therapy
- oceanfront walking decks — for pretending we’re “getting our steps in”
- great food everywhere — carbs don’t count at sea
- sunset lounges — where time politely stops
- live music — dancing optional, swaying encouraged
- cozy bars — where “just one” becomes “member that night?”
- lots of places to sit with a drink and say “yep… this was a good decision” — our primary activity
🗺️ The route basically reads like a travel magazine:
🇮🇹 Rome (Civitavecchia) – espresso, pasta, and the official start of our “stretchy pants era”
🇮🇹 Salerno – Amalfi Coast cliffs, lemon groves, and views that look suspiciously fake
🇮🇹 Livorno – Tuscany wandering, Florence art, and wine that somehow tastes better here, with lunch… and dinner
🇫🇷 Villefranche-sur-Mer – Riviera cafés, sea breezes, and pretending we live here now
🇪🇸 Barcelona – tapas tours, late nights, and spontaneous dance breaks
🇪🇸 Cádiz – seaside sunsets and slow walks that turn into long dinners
🇪🇸 A Coruña – cozy coastal cafés and the freshest seafood of our lives
🇬🇧 Southampton → London – pubs, wandering, and a proper birthday finale with our favorite humans
The vibe:
Long lunches. Slow mornings. Ocean views. Laughing too loud in public. Repeat.

Tell her you’re with our group (Rick & Julie Bush – you can try the Eurotrash Social Club, but no guarantee on that one!) and she’ll take great care of you.
We’re living large in:
A Club Balcony Suite • Stateroom #11944
(knock anytime for snacks, sunscreen, or questionable life advice)
✨ Bonus magic:
Once we hit 5 cabins, everyone gets 10–15% off
So inviting friends is technically smart financial planning.
If you’re even a little tempted, reply:
I’m in, Probably in, or Talk to me after wine!
The deposit to reserve a stateroom is small. Fully refundable. No payment is required until the end of January 2027!
We’d honestly just love to celebrate this milestone with our favorite humans, somewhere between Rome and London, making memories and possibly questionable decisions.
Come wander Europe with us.
Rick & Julie
P.S. Comfortable shoes encouraged. Elastic waistbands respected. Naps celebrated.
P.P.S. There will be pasta. A lot of pasta. And wine. Lots and lots of wine.
P.P.P.S. There will be a Eurotrash Social Club website to prep for our adventure, meet your cruise buddies, and start making questionable decisions early.
